When is the Ryder Cup 2023 taking place?
The 44th Ryder Cup 2023 matches will take place from September 21 to 26, 2021.
The venue
The venue for the upcoming 43rd Ryder Cup is taking place at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin. It is going to be the very first time that particular place has hosted the Ryder Cup event. But it is not the first time for the place to host prestigious events. Back then, this place hosted the PGA championship thrice.

Format
There will be 12 players from the US against the top 12 players from Europe. The competition will span for three days. On the first two days, there will be four-ball sessions and a foursome session. There will be 12 matches on the final day.
A victory in each match equals one point. The draw or tie equals 1/2 point for each side. So, the drawn players share the half point. When the overall scores are tied, the team that won the previous event will still hold the Ryder Cup trophy. So, both teams will need to focus on winning with huge gaps in scores rather than ties.

The captains
The new captain will lead the US and European sides.
On the US team, the captain is Steve Stricker. Meanwhile, Padraig Harrington is going to lead the European team.
The qualifications
The officials had to modify the format of the qualification due to the covid-19 pandemic. Both teams will need to postpone their agenda to compete.
12 players will represent both teams. Therefore, the total number of players who are participating in the Ryder Cup is 24.
The team is designed based on the Ryder Cup point standings. Players who have accumulated points since the qualification periods started in 2019. The top six players will automatically qualify. Meanwhile, the remaining team members are determined by Steve Strickers, as the captain of the team. The finalization of the qualifications is in September month.
It could be different with the European team. This particular team has the first four players from the European Points list. Then the next five players are the leading ones. The rest of the members are selected by captain Padraig Harrinton.
